I was heading in the direction of the Pro Chess League but you guys make a good point: it's all about making the game more popular, not about seeing the strongest players on one team. Having the average rating at 2200 sounds like a plan. @Assios @crosky @EJAChess @KyleLegion @sexy_and_i_know_it All else in agreement?
I agree that the max average rating should be a lot less than 2500. Assuming the typical team has players rated 2400, 2200, 2000, 1800 the average would be 2100. Maybe we can average the ratings of all participants to get an good idea of the number.
Also I agree with @crosky about using the all-time performance rating. You calculate it this way:
AverageOpponent + 400*(Wins-Losses)/(Wins+Losses)

@FischyVishy My average performance rating is probably really low, since I jumped from 1300 to 1700 about a month ago. But sure!

- How and where do we sign up?
- If it starts in August, I feel now would be a good time to send out invitations and to plan some sort of calendar. If August comes too early, do not rush with this. Plan it out thoroughly, so it can be run as smoothly as possible.
- Everyone, who wants to play, should be allowed to play. 2200 avg. sounds fine. If needed, this can be changed later (after registration has ended).

Guys just a quick question...Do you think we can do rapid zh (15 + 10)? I got a lot of backlash in the CWC for thinking about adding an increment (3 + 2), and most people were adamant about not playing long TC zh. However, I think we should really give it a shot...What do you guys think?
