Request: New Rating Category For Long Games (30+)

I'd like to pop up this topic. I think the idea to separate really long (and therefore well-motivated) 30+ games from "regular" rapid 10-20 is pretty reasonable. Would like to hear mods opinion if possible. Thanks!
Please also not that 10 mintues per side should also move into Blitz, as Rapid is more 10 minutes per player (or 5M + 5s/m).

Having 10 minutes classified as Classic is very strange. as it is not one but two categories off. In addition your reponses on PC for noticing your opponent move and replying is slower then on a traditional board, so I strongly recommend to move 10 minutes games into Blitz.

Rapid is officially more then 10 minutes but less then 1 hour per side. However since very few people will play many games longer then 1 hour per side, it might be more pratical to create a rapid classification of more >10 minutes <= 30 minutes and everything longer as classic.

Summary:

Bullet: 1 to 3 minutes per side
Blitz: more than 3 minutes up to 10 minutes (note 10 minutes is part of Blitz).

Rapid: more than 10 minutes up to 30 minutes.

Classing / Long: more than 30 minutes per side.

My suggestions
In my opinion

bullet: 1 to 4 minutes
blitz: 5 to 10 minutes
rapid: 11 to 30 minutes
semi rapid: 30 to 49 minutes
rapid classical: 50 to 79 minutes
slow classical: 80 minutes to maximum time allowed

All of this can be fixed if the administrator allows us to create new tournaments without restrictions.
or even better like this

bullet: 1 to 4 minutes
blitz: 5 to 10 minutes
rapid: 11 to 29 minutes
semi rapid: 30 to 45 minutes
rapid classical: 46 to 75 minutes
slow classical: 76 minutes to maximum time allowed

...And of course the rating should change too but I´ m not sure how.
Guys, have you voted?

emm1366, public tournaments are restricted to bullet/blitz, but private tournaments can have long time controls up to 60+60. However they will count for the same rating as 8 min or 10 min games.

avonm, each category division must have a precise value, because the time control may be a fractional number (like 1.5+0) and increments are counted as 0.7. For example the equivalent time for 3+2 = 3 + (2 x 0.7) = 4.4. Hence your idea would be something like this:
0--Bullet--5--Blitz--11--Rapid--30--S.Rapid.--45--R. Class.--75--Slow Class.--300
|=======|=======|========|===========|==========|=============|

But it will be easier to request just a new 30+ rating category leaving other changes for later, after this category proves itself as very popular.
0--Bullet--3--Blitz--10--Rapid--30- Class.

yeah I like the four category in fact I made a thread about this months ago
en.lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/otb-time-controls-or-fide-time-controls#3
or perhaps
0--Bullet--3--Blitz--15--Rapid--45- Class.

I dont think putting 5 is good, might be too much,
this is internet chess so,
bullet more or less as it is, blitz a little bit longer
and separating classic from rapid, stretching rapid a bit,
more or less
I think more than 4 is an overkill since there is correspondence
as well but 4 is good because between playing 12 minute game
or 45 or an hour and a half its not the same.
