Why "good luck" and not "good game" !!! "Gg"

I did not post this to debate with people who are frustrated and in bad faith.

I posted this, just to help the site evolve. In this case agree with what is actually done.

Wishing you Good Games!
"A phrase said to wish fortune on someone or as encouragement." *Wiktionary's definition of "Good luck"

Isn't it respectful? Luck could mean something more on the lines of fate or destiny. It doesn't have to mean chance. Saying "Good fate" probably would seem weird and "Good luck" is more natural.
Wishing good luck has always meant wishing well. I assume that guy is new in the English language so he is taking words in common phrases literally. Can't blame him for that.
GG is customary saying at the end of a game honoring or thanking for it.

Good luck or have fun is for the beginning of the game to greet your opponent and showing you respect.

They aren't there for interpreting them word for word!!
I like to refuse the handshake before the game. It's a psychological ploy. My opponent puts their hand out and I just roll my eyes or say "pssh" and just start the clock on them.
@AdamSandler It is a complete lack of respect and a psychological ploy that is as unhealthy as it is shabby. If you need to use this kind of unhealthy and insulting stategy to have more chances to win, I complain you. If you make me that in tournament, I'll catch you, out! Me or other people. You will not come back very often to the club I think. ahah It's stinking of what you say.
@AroHar Good game is said at the beginning of the game, at the same time as the handshake is given.
at the end of the game, "good game", is not too good. It is rather "well played" at the end of the game.

Instead of telling anything, you better go see club how it's going. You will learn there surely respect and know how to live. Reality is not a vulgar site where you can say and allow yourself to say and do anything.

When you have physical persons in front of you, you know very well that you are obliged to respect them otherwise you will quickly get screwed
@MandangueNoire " go see club how it's going." What makes you think that I don't know? (don't need to answer)

Whatever is the custom in your native language and culture it might be not the same on other part of the world or on the Internet. We say "much luck" in my native language and good game can be understood, but is used less common.

You might want to google yourself: "what GG stands for"

or just check out here for instance: www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=GG

Unfortunately, most people say nothing at all. I would be glad if they you would say "good luck".
