Nicknames you give to your favorite GMs.

Gawd forbid we have a little fun with the higher levels of chess. This should be easy for most of us. Not all of them are my equal favorite though I cannot frown on their accomplishments ever.

Ding can sing.
Nepo has pepo.
Hicky is tricky.
Vishy goes fishy.
Gukesh is fresh.
Bobby is robby(tax evasion?)
Alekhine is clean.
Pragg is like the fog.
Do not 'F' with the Ivanchuk(Pardon my French)

Last but never least.

C stands for Carlsen, the Maggie.
Tal is Your Pal? (Well, maybe not.) I have looked at some of Tal's old games, but he died before I really knew who he was. I think it would have been enjoyable to have met him a long time ago. I thought his games were fascinating. I can't remember those games, but they were fun. YouTube has many games from Mikhail Tal. I would want to play just like he did, if I could emulate any GM from the 20th Century.

From Webster's dictionary "To French", verb:

2

And Noah was also known as one of the great bowdlerizers, wasn't he? ;)
