I tried to play some brilliancies on stockfish 8 but it is so coward that it wouldn't let me play it.
It forced me to play suicide moves, so I did it just for fun. Here is the game:

Sounds like you had fun. LOL. I learn what I can about a possible opening or mid game responses from them. Otherwise, the engines do entertain me when I play them against one another. Amen.
I have downloaded quite a few of them and use them in my Aquarium Interface, or Fritz. It can be fun to watch the different ways they respond to one another.
In a match or game though. It all comes down to what your comfortable with, and their is no way to memorize all the perfect moves to respond to a engine.
