IAF Antichess World Championship 2024 date has been determined & more news!

I don't understand, why this is called the "IAF ACWC".... It sounds like the other championship lichess.org/team/antichess-wc (abbreviated "ACWC"). Apart from that, where do you get the authority to organise a world championship if you have that red notice on your profile? This community deserves better!
Dear @Starfl1ght ,

We have discussed this with the organization of the Antichess Worldchampionship. And we have their approval to use the name IAF ACWC (International Antichess Federation's Antichess World Championship). Note that this is an OTB Antichess World Championship, where the other ACWC is an online event.

About my red notice, I can't defend myself too much. All I can say is that Lichess and me have a different opinion about the matter, feel free to judge for yourselves.

Kind regards,
ZendiScar, Co-organizer of the IAF ACWC along with @BBLGL.

Hi @Starfl1ght and @ajedrezconzeta , I just like to say something here as well. The over the board ACWC is completely different to an online Event since all players are in the same room You can see them and you can talk with them. It is the only way to proof your opponent is definetly not cheating. You cannot see what they are doing online. And I am very thankful to @ZendiScar and @BBLGL that they again take so much effort to organize a beautiful event in Amsterdam. And to write something like "the community deserves better" probably without knowing the background is absolulty disrespectful! ZendiScar in my opinion was banned for no reason (that is of course unlucky with the red note on lichess) and he showed over the board in Amsterdam what strong player he is. Judging players before meeting them in real life is often not the best way. So my advice, just come to Amsterdam and enjoy a beautiful tournament. I will be there again of course, Best regards Bertfighter
Yes remarks like "community deserves better" is unnecessary indeed. Besides having the chance to get to know and experience antichessers in real life is good, and as Bertfighter said - you can actually see if the players can perform at their level - although for me it was pretty weird playing antichess with real pieces - i made a lot of stupid mistakes but overall I was at the top fighting for a while but dropped a bit but still happy with the result.

I am looking forward to the next event.

I have some memory problems but when I sort those out I will be deadly as a player and if I then start playing/remembering the lines that I have prepared will I then be accused of cheating? I can play like a retard against a very low ranked player and brilliant against the top players and everything in between... but I think I have established some kind of reputation amongst the frequent players here and at the Amsterdam Open.

I can tell you that Zendiscar did not cheat during the IRL tournament and showed he was a strong player.

@ZendiScar and @BBLGL , along with the IAF, are the first to organize a real-life Antichess event gathering some of the best players of this small community. It's an awesome event occurring every year since 2022. Being the first - and only - of the kind, I think they have all the authority they need to call it a World Championship. I don't see how a red notice on an account is relevant in any way to question that.

When you lack knowledge to have a valid opinion about something, ask questions nicely, most people in this community are very well-intended and will answer you. Insulting people and spreading your poor judgement is useful to no one.
