Move number as timestamp in spectator chat?

Sometimes when watching a game or a broadcast, some question or comment pops up in the spectator chat (e.g. "why didn't white take on d4"), but if you don't catch the comment right after it's written, it can be difficult to know what people are talking about (for example, if reviewing an old game or a previous broadcasted game).

Would it be a good idea to use move number (or even better, ply number) as a timestamp? (say in the margin next to the commentator's name)

Not an official feature of Lichess but still works very well in my own experience
