Blindfold battle feature!

I have a recommendation for lichess to add blindfold games with a separate rating just like antichess, atomic and... that both sides cant see pieces no matter what they do!
I am really searching for something like this but no website has this feature. I can turn on the blindfold feature from settings but It will be on just for me not my opponent.
I know some people will cheat by putting moves on a board in their phones or ... but I think this can be so much fun for their who play really blindfolded and also cause progress in imagination.
I too believe this would be a great chess variant. Perhaps not so cool if you want to stream (lol) but just imagine how cool it would look if you have some non chess-playing friends watching you play on an empty board! But more seriously, blindfold chess is something chess players have been doing for decades when travelling, etc. it's a great training tool also (board visualization).
A separate variant would be fun but it's possible that a good number of players will place the board elsewhere even if Lichess develops a functionality to pair like-minded players. Seems counterproductive.

For now you can create a team and make sure that only players interested in Blindfold join.
You can create Swiss tournaments and keep playing with this arrangement.
Yes, there are 100 different ways people can cheat when playing on-line, but they'll normally end-up getting caught. It would be very strange to have someone whose ratings for blitz, bullet, etc. are , say, in the 2200 range and then 2400 in blinfold chess. (our blindfold ratings will always be lower). Not to mention that it would be pretty hard/impossible to cheat at blindfold bullet...
IMO in this type of variant there will be a lot of cheating. I'm not sure if the cheat detection algorithms can recognize whether the player playing is a strong one without a board or a weak one playing with a board. So I cannot really recommend it.
I think it's quite the opposite: it would be very suspicious if someone didn't make any illegal moves or make huge blunders, given that even the top gms make them in this variant. Why get banned when you're not a cheater at other variants? pretty absurd.
@chessclinic My point is that a weak player (around 1200) can make a new account only for playing blindfold and playing it with a board. I don't think it'll be easy to tell the difference between a 2200 playing with blindfold or a 1200 playing without one.
But how is cheat possible in this variant because we cannot see the pieces
Experience has demonstrated that cheating at chess variants is far more unusual than at normal chess. It would be practically impossible to cheat at bullet blindfold chess. The algorithms would detect that a player never made illegal moves, that he thought a lot for obvious moves, etc. and this form of chess is basically a form of training board visualization, there's no point in cheating. As for creating second accounts, a player's ip gets recorded, cheaters always end up getting caught. And I really don't see the point of faking being the best at something like blindfold chess.
