It seems to be a genuinely fun and captivating variation of chess. I don't see any reasons against it.

(@)SamanyayGhosh is wrong about the copying idea, but right about Lichess probably not adding new variants.

Where has Lichess said they're not interested in adding new variants? And why not? I thought the mission of Lichess was to promote chess "and its variants"?
