How to become a Lichess moderator

I was a moderator on another chess site, and I can tell you that the ones that asked the most never got picked.
Other members had to volunteer you as very helpful etc..etc..
But I have no idea how it is here.
In other forums you have to show first your qualifications preferably both in (here: chess) skills and people skills over a long period of time. Actually, I am one (not here to be precise).
Step 1: Be an active member of the lichess community, forums, IRC, etc...

After that, if we think you've got what it takes to be a moderator we'll invite you.
It's probably more fun to be a lichess developer and create new content. As a lichess moderator, It can be boring to go over never ending flow of cheating reports, read and moderate all the comments in chats and forums.
Hopefully @Clarkey can develop the bug house, tandem chess, or any other new chess variants. It would be great if the openings trainer is brought back.
