I want to write a blog post and want a picture of the lichess top 1 trophy to be in the thumbnail. Does anyone have any tips on how I can do so?
Do you mean how to choose the main image? It will prompt you to pick it once you save your draft.

I want to know where I can find an image only of the trophy with the background of the site, all screenshots I have tried to take include the player's profile
@AnIndianChessplayer I don't know which one it is. Can you link the blurry one?
Maybe I can use a stock photo for the blog
I guess I'll just use a stock photo, thanks for trying to help

I cannot find a bigger image, maybe it was never posted but you said you tried screenshotting directly from profile so did you actually see a bigger image?
