a poem

Here's my OWN poem:
Rockin’ Along the Way Home
By Ellie
Twas’ sunset, I was walkin’
Not too fast, not too slow
I saw a mini guitarist by the road
And so I asked, “Can I have a go?”

He was starin’ plainly at me-
“Sure,” he said, “But give it back.”
I took the guitar and started to play
I ended the song with a big SMACK.

The guitarist was looking impressed;
I was beaming, handin’ it back to him.
He nodded at me and stalked away,
I just realized it was gettin’ very dim.

I was walking’ back home,
Hummin’ the song I had played.
Makin’ moves to match it along,
Hummin’ the song I had made.

Walkin’ the way home
Was the guitarist.
“Hey,” he said, “Here you go,
Walkin’ your way home.”
