Any masters who started late

A look at chessgames.com:

Bent Larsen, born 1935, first game in the database 1948, IM with 19.

I would be happy to have such a player as an example but there are some dirty facts destroying my happiness. ;)
People always believe in myths... any contemporary master started late and become xyz - yeah, he got it from the the tooth-fairy accompanied by the Easter bunny.

Would you mind thinking?
Well, I'll be a master someday and I started late, will post on that topic when I'll get the title.
Ye Jiangchuan was a stron XianQi plaer prior to switching to western chess. Xianqi has good transfer effect to chess. Ye swithced the game at 17 as he understood that cannot make ti top of nation in Xianqi and winnign national championship in western chess would be relatively easy as there was (relative to size of country that is) only small amount western chess players.
If age 21 means starting lately so how many of us started early? I mean taking it seriously, not just learning the rules or even play some games with other beginners. It's the age when people go to university and obviously are considered to be able to learn anything. So what's special about chess? Nothing! You can do it and if it takes you 10 years, you must be really untalented. I can't believe what people are telling here, that it's difficult or even impossible, 10.000 hours of hard work and so on. Of course you need some time, especially to play in OTB tournaments. Most people your age don't have this time, this is why there are only few stories of success. We are talking about FM, yes, and not about 2700? Finegold is right, FM is not much more than beginner, at least to me it feels like this. I'm already a bit afraid of writing here, because they could call me a troll or something. I did it so easely and quickly and there was no hard work, just a lot of fun, I never learned openings or whatever kind of knowledge. I just played a lot of tournaments, like one in a month and I never analyzed my games, because it always seemed clear to me, what had gone wrong. For GM you need some knowledge, that's true, but FM, that's just making some normal moves without blundering too many pieces. I did a lot of things they say are impossible at my age or impossible at all. Don't believe them! I wish you success!
@miretota In all sincerity, what else do you except to be called besides troll when you lay hundred claims without giving any substantial proof for any of them?
