What is the minimum FIDE rating for a professional chess player to live on chess alone? I mean to have a comfortable life not to live from hand to mouth. I know many 2500-2600 GMs in Europe are having difficulties with their livings. How is it in other continents like China, India, African countries? Thanks for your comments.
