[feature request] Berserk 7 moves rule exception for checkmate

> Berserk only grants an extra point if you play at least 7 moves in the game.

I'm not sure why this rule is in place, but I reckon it's not to give the avantage of berserking in games lost by forfeit on move 1, or disconnection after move 3, without a fight.

That being said, in atomic, lots of games end by checkmate ("by variant" technically) in less than 7 moves. For instance : en.lichess.org/Je17K7QpihGd. In this game, I had a forced mate in 3 after move 4, went for it, and missed on one tournament point. I should've played a waiting move (7. Bb5) and won on move 8, but didn't think of it.

Can an exception be made to the "no bonus point if game is less than 7 moves long" when games end in checkmate / variant ? I don't think tournament rules should give incentives to play suboptimal moves on the board :)
+1

This has been a problem in atomic ever since it was implemented. I never understood why it was not considered. Realistically, someone who knows they are in a forced lost position can resign to stop their opponent from getting that extra point a well. Therefore I believe that it should be removed for both resignations and checkmates.
I wish people could upvote / downvote this depending on whether they care or not, but so long as we can't, maybe we can just post +1s ? :D
Berserk and tourns are most for fun I think. Also you benefit from playing short games because you then have time to play more games. In the sense of chess, also this is not really serious.

But I can second your opinion that if you manage to mate your opponent in less than 7 moves you could be given 2 points.

#3 Ask for the big berserk himself, CM KC's opinion. :)
