Thank you for new time control: ½+0!

Thanks very much for 30 sec+0! 10s+0 is not necessary - it's not serious, but 20 sec. +0 it would be good to do also - it would be cool and fun. But I think all these quick controls should be considered a separate ELO (not to be confused with bullet and 1+0)
I suggested several times that ratings for mouseraces like 0 1 and 1 0 should be separated from 1 1, 0 2 and 2 0 up. Now with 1/2 0 already here and maybe 1/3 0 coming up (played it only once, in a tourney), it becomes even more important to think about it.
¡Qué divertido es jugar media? todos los movimientos motivados pre, para jugar sin una estrategia ....., perjudicará a muchos jugadores.
What fun is playing 1/2? all pre motivated movements, to play without strategy....., will hurt many players.
orionchess, yes. I can show an analogy with the life:
We can consider our life plans, behavior with people;
when we are alone in the house, we remember our conversations and think how could we make them better.
And the process of thinking here is the same as in classical chess, or even correspondence chess: we have a lot of time to consider our action, doings. And classical chess greatly improve this capability.
But what about personal, live communication? When you have to react in a second. You speak with somebody and, if you want to make an impression, or achieve your aims in this conversation, you need to react immediately. You need instantly come up with witty, eloquent line. You need immediately find the right words, if you are a politician. Here you have no time to think (as in classical chess). And I find a bullet a great analogy for such immediate situations in life.
And, in my experience, bullet chess really improves such kind of skills — instantaneous and, as much as it can be, accurate reactions in any kind of interactions.
@chesstroll, I don't see how people can enjoy 1min. I'm not experienced enough but have tried it. It actually is a lot of fun to me, and a rush to win with 0.3 seconds. That's why I don't like it. Many games I'm winning on position, material but lose on time.

It goes so fast that it feels nice to pause for 2-3 seconds to look at the timer, analyze the current middle game position finally. Sometimes I don't even look at the other pieces until move 8-15 setting up the opening. With 30 seconds, for me I'd call it blind chess; you might as well not look up. :D

My 5 vs 15min chess is huge difference in quality. My game is improving closing that gap.
