A few month plateau is nothing in chess. And unless you're aiming to be a professional, then there really is no rush. Improvement in chess is a lifelong pursuit.
The fact that you even bothered to post that you're fed up tells me that you're not really done with the game. Sounds like you just need a break and when you come back, you will be refreshed and very likely overcome that plateau you've been frustrated with.
